Basketball has always been a part of my life especially since I was young. I started playing when I was in second grade. I also started to play almost every sport imaginable, but I always chose basketball over any of them. Basketball has always been my safe place where I can push myself and others; along with working on ways to better myself and my teammates. I was provided an opportunity to play and start with varsity team my freshman year, this was a big step up from playing on my AAU team and middle school basketball. I was able to help my team, and contribute to winning regionals and playing in sectionals. Our team was successful and set a new record for number of wins for the season with 22 wins & 9 loses (13-3 conference).  We were also back-to-back conference champions because of our team success.
